The all party meeting convened by Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh on Thursday took stock of the political situation in the wake of deadly attack on Congress leaders by maoists. The meeting was boycotted by the Congress leaders. Senior congress leader B K Hariprasad said that the state government during the last 10 years have never thought of convening such a meeting and therefore they boycotted the all party meet.
Chief Minister Raman Singh said that the naxal attack will be probed by a judicial committee. He said that the anti- naxal operations also need to be supplemented by development in the region for it to be effective. CPI also is unimpressed with the all party meeting. CPI leader Chittaranjan Bakshi said that BJP did not call all the parties for the meeting.
